Rich Fogal is a pastor with a unique story. He literally went from the “pits” to the pulpit! What does that mean? Well, before attending Bible College, Rich spent 8 years in the stock car racing field, 6 of those years professionally working in Charlotte, NC as a NASCAR designer and race driver. Rich was working for a race team in State College, PA when he received the call to ministry. He then left his professional motorsports dreams behind and has been pursuing God’s call on his life ever since. Both Rich and his wife Ashley left successful secular careers to pursue ministry training in the mid 1990’s. They met while both attending Bible college in Pensacola, FL at The Brownsville Revival School of Ministry and have been serving in full time ministry for over 13 years. After graduating with their pastoral ministry degrees, they moved to Buffalo, NY where Rich was an associate pastor and Ashley worked with the children’s ministry. They have always had a passion for church planting and pioneering works and after several years of serving in Buffalo, they felt God leading them back to Rich’s home state of Pennsylvania where they became church planters with the Penn-Del District. They moved to Lansdale, PA to lead a church revitalization project where souls were saved and God blessed the church they were serving. After several years, the church had rapidly grown and become strong and healthy. Healthy leadership had also been established and in 2007, they handed the ministry off to those leaders and prepared for another pioneer work. For their next assignment, they felt God calling them to another church revitalization project in Bedford, PA. Once again God did great things and the church became strong and continues to grow, both in health and numbers, to this day. Rich and Ashley still feel the call of church planting on their lives and they are excited to see a successful church plant become a reality in the Fogelsville, PA area. While this project is still very much in its beginning stages, they have a burden and desire to see Fogelsville reached for God. They already have seen the Lord’s blessing on this project and they are eager to see what God has in store for this church and this community! Rich and Ashley have 6 children, all ages 12 and under so things are always exciting around their house! With 4 girls and 2 boys, their family has many interests. They love playing sports, watching football, going boating and fishing. They enjoy raising animals on their farm and are always up for exploring and visiting new places together.
