What to Expect
What are your services like?
Our weekend services are designed to be powerful and inspiring. Our music is upbeat and engaging. Our messages are Biblical, relevant and sometimes very entertaining. We talk about the real things you face every day and seek to connect God’s wisdom and Word to your life. We also believe that church should be one of the most enjoyable experiences you have during the week, so feel free to laugh and have fun!
What time should I get there?
We recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the service. This is especially important if you have children. Checking-in children to their age-appropriate environments takes a couple of extra minutes. Even if you don’t have kids, come a few minutes early and grab a cup of coffee on us!
Is childcare provided?
Crossroads Kid’s Ministry [birth-5th grade] is provided for all Sunday services. Each of our children workers have undergone background checks and have current clearances on file to make sure everyone has a fun and safe experience each week.
What happens when I visit your church?
First of all, we want you to feel welcome. When you visit CCC, you will not be put on the spot in any way. Whether you are seeking a new church home, or simply desiring to know more about who Jesus is, you should feel like you are among family. We also have a gift for you if you are a first time visitor.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. God is clear in His Word that He does not look on the outward appearance but rather into the heart of a person. The dress and atmosphere at Crossroads tends to be casual. Wear jeans. Wear a tie. It’s your decision. We want you to be comfortable.
What kind of church is this?
Crossroads is an Assemblies of God church, but we do not exist to promote a denomination, but to keep relationship with God at the center of everything we do. If you want to learn more about our beliefs as a church, you can find out much more under the “Core Beliefs” link here on our site.
How do I get involved?
We believe God has given every person gifts and talents. Those abilities have been given for the purpose of serving others. There are volunteer opportunities all around Crossroads Community Church. Joining a volunteer team is a great way to meet people and contribute to the mission of this church family. Feel free to talk to our pastor about getting involved with a ministry.
What do you believe about baptism and communion?
We encourage all followers of Jesus to experience baptism. Periodically, we offer a baptism class for people interested in being baptized during one of our services. We baptize by immersion because that was Jesus’ model of baptism. Baptism is not salvation. It is a symbol of the new life that Jesus brings about in the lives of His believers. We believe communion is also a symbol. It symbolizes the body of Jesus that was sacrificed for us. We observe this ordinance throughout the year during our weekend services. You do not need to be a member of CCC to participate in our Communion Service.
